BUILDING MANAGER – COMMERCIAL ASSET

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the day-to-day running and maintenance of the building, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
• Lead, supervise, and develop on-site staff and contractors to achieve and maintain outstanding standards.
• Maintain strong occupier relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of tenants’ professional cultures, operational needs, and expectations.
• Oversee hard and soft service contractors, ensuring full compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and best practices.
• Manage service charge budgets, reporting and forecasting accurately in line with client requirements.
• Deliver and monitor fit-out projects, retendering processes, and planned maintenance programmes.
• Drive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives in line with corporate sustainability goals.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, police, and community groups.
• Lead recruitment, appraisals, and development of team members to foster a positive and high-performing culture.
• Uphold a strong commitment to customer service excellence through proactive communication and problem-solving.

About You

• Proven experience managing multi-tenanted commercial buildings or similar environments.
• Strong background in contractor management (hard and soft services).
• Demonstrable experience with service charge budgeting, project delivery, and retendering.
• Knowledge and practical experience in ESG initiatives and sustainability reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to health & safety, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
