We are working exclusively with Get Living on a rare opportunity at the £4bn regeneration of Elephant & Castle, London. They’re looking to appoint a hands-on, proactive and strategic Operations Manager to support the General Manager in launching and mobilising the retail side of this brand-new mixed-use development, through to practical completion and beyond.

This role will suit someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-change environments, can think on their feet, adapt quickly, and bring structure to ambiguity. You’ll play a critical role in:

  • Mobilising and launching a major mixed-use asset
  • Onboarding and embedding new operational teams
  • Supporting tenant fit-outs and coordinating across residential and commercial functions
  • Acting as a confident, credible point of contact for tenants
  • Delivering a true five-star customer experience from day one
  • Crisis Management

THE ROLE BREAKDOWN…

This senior-level position is responsible for ensuring the asset operates to best-in-class standards, optimising building performance, tenant satisfaction, compliance, and cost efficiency across the estate.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES…

  • Lead day-to-day operational mobilisation of the development pre- and post-launch
  • Manage contractors and service partners across security, cleaning, maintenance and compliance
  • Onboarding teams
  • Ensure health & safety, statutory compliance and lease obligations are met
  • Oversee service charge budgets, reporting and cost control
  • Establish robust systems, processes and record-keeping from inception
  • Build strong relationships with occupiers, asset managers, developers and investors
  • Respond effectively to incidents, crises and operational challenges in a live public environment
  • Tenant Liaison

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE…

5+ years’ senior-level experience in operations or facilities management, ideally within large-scale retail, commercial or mixed-use environments

  • Proven experience managing complex assets and operational teams at a leadership level
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving efficiency, innovation and long-term value
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, contractor management, lease obligations and health & safety legislation
  • Financial literacy, including service charge budget management and reporting
  • Experience delivering maintenance services in a busy, public-facing environment
  • Experience managing security, cleaning and maintenance teams
  • Strong organisational skills, including setting up and administering detailed record-keeping systems
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Flexibility to adapt working patterns to meet the demands of a dynamic mixed-use environment

WHY APPLY?

Opportunities like this don’t come around often. You’ll be joining one of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration projects at a defining moment – with real influence, real autonomy, and the chance to leave a lasting operational legacy.

Salary upto £70,000k for the right candidate
