After studying English Literature at Reading University, Linsey went on to gain an abundance of PR and Marketing experience with a diverse range of businesses including Harrods, The Financial Times Group and Revlon. Her passion for marketing was apparent and she went on to start her career as Head of Communications at McArthurGlen (previously BAA McArthurGlen), which is where her interest in real estate began. After 5 years in this role, Linsey boasted some fantastic achievements including a marketing budget reduction of 25% in just 2 years and a 31% increase in turnover growth.
Since McArthurGlen, Linsey has held positions with some of the most recognised and well-established real estate businesses including; Head of Marketing at Westfield, Head of Retail Marketing at Lendlease Europe Ltd and Retail Marketing Director at British Land. Across her impressive career, Linsey has made some major headway and left a real impression on the industry. A stand-out accomplishment was launching the Westfield brand into the UK with zero awareness pre-launch. Her strategic development and implementation for the launch achieved a 188,000 footfall volume on launch day and 1 million within the first week, exceeding all targets set!
It is not just Linsey’s skills and career development that has resulted in her success. Linsey’s personality traits to always deliver work with passion and energy, treat everyone equally and always give credit to others, have been key drivers behind her growth. Linsey prides herself on her ability to be creative and commercial at the same time and finding something to laugh about each day. Her attitude and ambition have brought her a noteworthy career with too many highlights to mention!
The experience, achievements and challenges over-come throughout Linsey’s career has given her an unparalleled skill set and ability to truly transform marketing teams and strategies, and successfully launch shopping centres into success. Lindsey is now returning to Lendlease Europe Ltd – after just over 10 years since her first role with them – to become their Marketing Director.
Linsey’s future career goal is to re-define the way marketing delivers regeneration projects and bring more creativity to the property world: “Marketing done right is where the marketer changes the product not the ads”.
