Women in Real Estate Spotlight: Louise Harman

Graduating with a degree in Marketing and with an inherited interest and passion for property, Louise secured a role with a leading Real Estate publication in Account Management. Only in the role a short time, Louise was approached to become a Recruiter where she learned, developed and progressed impressively quickly.

Louise progressed to become a Senior Manager at one of the largest Real Estate recruiters in the UK and Europe and led an untouchable team in London. Louise was amongst the most successful Senior Management staff the company has ever seen.

The property crash brought concern over the industry, however, Louise’s passion for the industry and drive to continue growing her career led to her to co-founding her own Real Estate Recruitment Consultancy in the height of the market downturn, Foundation Recruitment. Starting a company during such time is a great demonstration of Louise’s tenacity and determination – the key drivers behind her flourishing career.

Foundation offered clients and candidates the same passion and appetite they needed and quite frankly, wanted. This led Louise, and the company’s co-founder Julian Long, to carve a niche within the property market, not just in traditional chartered surveyor led Real Estate positions, but within the experiential, operational environment too. Foundation Recruitment quickly became a market leader, and still is today, in the UK and European Shopping Centre Management recruitment as well as Facilities and Building Management, Real Estate, Property Marketing and all things Commercial.

Louise is fiercely proud of the business, the brand, and the success, but she is even prouder to be an ambassador for high achieving women in the Real Estate market!
