2017: Global Shopping Centre Events

Shopping centres across the world are increasingly becoming the key attraction or place of entertainment in cities and in some cases, entire regions. More and more people find themselves wandering major cities during the summer and shopping centres have become a common destination for holiday-makers and locals to spend a sunny afternoon in the company of friends and family. Shopping centres, and in particular, the people behind them, have year on year become more creative in their offerings, increasingly strategising new, engaging events and animations!

I have created a list of the top events being held in major shopping centres around the globe so that wherever you are in the world, you know what the latest shopping and recreational experience is near you!

Noventa di Piave Designer Outlet – McArthurGlen Italy: the luxury outlet near Venice, focuses its summer events in the most Italian way possible; around music and fashion. Every week, the best music shows around the world will be shown on big screens around the centre, included in the line-up are; Katy Perry’s World Tour concert (3rd and 6th August), La Taviata of Giuseppe Verdi (2nd of August) and Tony Bennet & Lady Gaga live from New York (10th and 13th August).

Enjoy a nice gig in-between shopping!

There are many more events and entertainment going on than mentioned above. All shopping centres are striving to introduce new, innovative offerings to enhance the guest experience, drive footfall and increase dwell time. It’s an exciting time in the industry and the constant new campaigns don’t seem to be stopping. With consumer’s expectations rising and technology advancing allowing centres to be more creative; shopping centre offerings are developing at a rapid and exciting pace – looking forward to what’s in store next!
