Operations & Sustainability Director – St. James Quarter

Overview

Are you an operations manager with a passion for ESG, in a retail or mixed-use environment, looking for an exciting new opportunity in the world of Placemaking? We have partnered with esteemed property management company Savills, on an opportunity to join their senior management team at St. James Quarter in Edinburgh.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Managing the Soft Services team, ensuring all security & cleaning is carried out to a high standard.
• Managing the Guest Services team, which consists of desk staff & mall ambassadors, as they look to expand & improve.
• Ensuring the scheme is moving towards it’s net zero target and ensuring all ESG goals are hit.
• Working closely with other members of the senior management team, to ensure a one team focus, on the 1.7millionsqft of 13-floor retail, leisure, residential and hotel space.

This role offers the opportunity to:

• Join the senior management team of one of the UKs most iconic retail destination assets at a time of challenge, given the forthcoming residential and hospitality openings, creating a truly 24/7 environment.

The right candidate will be:

• Experienced in a shopping centre or mixed-use environment.
• Able to demonstrate strong operational knowledge, a track record of managing a team successfully, and a good understanding of ESG.
• A confident, self-assured, team player, with the ability to inspire others through tough periods.
• Able to ensure all Health & Safety regulations are complied with, IOSH qualification at a minimum.

The budget for this role is £65,000 to £80,000, including a wide range of perks & benefits.
