Shopping Centre Operations Manager position at a large shopping centre in West Yorkshire.

Operations Manager position with one of the UK’s leading property managing agents at a large, community shopping centre in Wakefield. The scheme is anchored by a well-known supermarket and boasts other key retailers including Primark, Boots and M&S, as well as a 1000 space car park.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and lead the operational success of the Centre to a high standard. Via effective management of the site and operational team, they will succeed in providing the best standards of customer satisfaction, compliance and operational efficiency.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations at all times.
  • Undertake daily checks of the centre and that all remedial works are undertaken within a reasonable time period.
  • Liaise with tenants, Police and other Key Stakeholders in all matters of security affecting the centre, tenant and common areas.
  • Work with the Asset Team to implement the customer service strategy.
  • Managing the collection, processing and disposal of all waste; maintaining appropriate records.
  • Control and supervise the security operation.


  • Management experience within shopping centre, venue or retail environment is essential.
  • Experience overseeing facilities management is essential.
  • Experience managing budgets and expenditure is essential.
  • Strong people management skills and excellent communication skills.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
