In today’s modern retailing climate the need for investors and managing agents to work collaboratively with occupiers is crucial to the success of the centre. With occupier rents so often linked to turnover, working with retailers in a shared objective to position a relevant offering and boost performance has become a prominent trend within the shopping centre industry. Working as part of an operational management team, these positions often suit retail management professionals with balance sheet experience of successfully managing various store formats.   

Commercialisation is an integral activity and focuses on identifying, developing and optimizing new revenue opportunities within a shopping mall, airport, retail park, venue or mixed use development. Typically this revenue comes from 3 avenues – traditional advertising, RMU’s & kiosks and digital media. These roles can be based within a specific scheme, venue or asset, or from Head Office across a portfolio of assets.
